The FIFA Futsal World Cup 2021 will take place from September 12 to October 3, 2021 in Lithuania.

This is the second time in the history of  Futsal team Vietnam compete at World Cup. In the first time participating in the World Cup Futsal – Colombia 2016, the Vietnamese futsal team made a miracle when they reached the 1/8 round.

At this year’s tournament, Thai Son Bac futsal club was honored to contribute two players Vu Duc Tung and Nguyen Thanh Tin. Thai Son Nam futsal club is the club with the largest number of athletes with 7 players.

The Vietnamese futsal team fell into Group D along with the Brazilian, Czech and Panamanian teams. Right in the opening match, coach Pham Minh Giang’s students faced the champion candidate, Brazil at 0:00 on September 14. Two days later, the Vietnamese team faced Panama before meeting the Czech Republic in the final match of the group stage, on September 19
